You are invited to join us this Equinox for a 4 day immersive retreat.

The Black Tent is a rite of passage for women - a transformative space of reawakening and reclamation. It is rooted in Arabian spirituality and ancient shamanic wisdom that is encoded in the natural rhythms of the Arabian lands. A journey of remembrance held and guided by forces of nature.

This Black Tent immersion is guided by the waters of creation as we move through the threshold into rebirth. In one of the highest mountain ranges in the Arabian Peninsula, Al Hajar mountains. This Spring Equinox portal marks the embodiment of our essence and medicine. A liminal space of becoming and coming out into the light to allow the blooming of our unique embodiment to take place in the world.

Moving through this threshold is a restoration of beauty. Where we get to see the beauty in ourselves and others through our senses. It is an invitation of stepping into courage and ownership of our innate wisdom and medicine this world is so patiently waiting for to manifest into the physical reality.

Equinoxes are key transitional points. They carry the elements of Air and Water - Flowers, leaves, springs and wadis. Both elements teach us the wisdom and beauty of impermanence. How life is constantly dying and being reborn. and how life is worth opening our hearts longing to the fullness of being utterly alive. These two elements reside in the energetics of the womb and heart. Where the core essence of the Black Tent is - the reclamation of primordial aliveness and the restoration of heart cohesion.

I'm in

We will be guided by indigenous plants such as Henna that continues to hold the keys to thresholds and liminal spaces of transitions. With her energy of lightness, pure joy, protection and infinite blessings “Barakah”, Henna’s spirit has been walking with us through major transitions of death and rebirth for thousands of years. This powerful plant will be supporting the threshold crossing in this rite of passage.

The entire journey will be held with the frequency of the Damascus Rose that grow abundantly for thousands of years on the same mountains (Al Hajar mountains) we will be on. She will be the guiding force for our soul essence to land in the body.

The Black Tent is for women from all walks of life who feel called to dive deeper into the feminine mysteries through the wisdom of Arabian spirituality and simple ways of life.

A rite of passage journey of coming back to the Earth. Restoring the connection with our roots and nature. Reclaiming the raw primordial essence in our womb and channelling it through the heart.

Weaving with threads of sisterhood while shedding what no longer serves who we are becoming. The Black Tent is for you to feel more empowered and connected to who you truly are. A safe space of creation and freedom. When women are embodied and grounded in their power, they know how to celebrate life while being present with each other’s beauty and unique expression.

This space cherishes the sacredness of beauty, community, and celebration. Deep feminine values that are naturally rooted and infused in Middle Eastern cultures.

The Black Tent is a space for ancient Arabian stories, music and rituals. With the support of indigenous plants and trees we reawaken our somatic memory and restore our sense of belonging.

The journey and practices are rooted in nature and the natural rhythms of the Arabian waters, mountains and lands.

I'm Ready

The Black Tent name

Merges the concept of the Red Tent, women's ancient practice, and the Black Tent being a symbol of Arabs and Bedouins (desert dwellers) for centuries. The black Tent originated in Mesopotamia, and as it spread, it was adapted to fit each particular environment it entered in the Arabian peninsula, levant and North Africa.

Kholoud Alhosani

“I am a woman who works with ritual as a living space of awareness and embodiment. I accompany women in returning to the body, listening beneath the noise to their inner rhythm, and restoring a conscious, grounded relationship with femininity and intention. I hold small, intimate group spaces where presence and silence are honored, where ritual unfolds without force or direction, and where each woman’s boundaries, timing, and personal journey are deeply respected.”

Kholoud will be guiding us through a ritual with the Henna plant at this immersion.
