Black Tent
Jordan Pilgrimage
Arabian Rite of Passage & Shamanic Wisdom
21 - 28 October 2026
You are invited to join us on a Shamanic journey across 8 days in Jordan.
The Black Tent is a rite of passage for women - a transformative space of awakening and reclamation. It is rooted in indigenous Arabian spirituality and ancient shamanic wisdom that is encoded in the natural rhythms of the Arabian land, waters and mountains. A journey of remembrance held and guided by forces of nature.
This Black Tent is guided by the flora and fauna of Northern Arabia from the living waters, mountains, wind and red desert sands.. to the ancient Arabian celestial trinity, the Sun, Moon and Venus.
This rite of passage is an embodiment of leadership and sovereignty. Moving through the threshold is a restoration of self-authority and self-trust. It is an invitation to step into courage and ownership of our innate wisdom, intuition and medicine this world needs.
Acacia Tree Desert Vigil
We will move through a desert vigil and tree diet with Al Samer tree known as Acacia. This tree carries the energetics to life, death and rebirth. It is viewed in ancient times as a threshold to soul’s transition which makes her a powerful ally and guide in this rite of passage.
In the Arabian peninsula she is called Al Samer or Al Samra which means the meeting point between dark and light. It also means evening community gatherings under the stars and moon light. While in Mount Sinai she’s called Al Sayyal, which means running waters reflecting her quality of growing naturally along water streams.
Acacia was highly revered in ancient times, she is the embodiment of Venus on the Earth and in ancient Egypt and Arabia she is the tree of life. It is believed that the physical manifestation of Al-'Uzzā, the Nabatean major deity of power, might, and love consisted of a cluster of three sacred acacia trees.
The Black Tent is for women from all walks of life who feel called to dive deeper into feminine mysteries through Arabian mysticism, shamanic wisdom and simple ways of life.
Coming in right relationship with the Earth. Restoring connection with our roots and nature. Reclaiming our primordial essence and coming in harmony with the heart.
The Black Tent is for you to feel more empowered and connected to who you truly are. A safe space of creation and freedom. When women are embodied and grounded in their power, they know how to celebrate life and be present with each other’s power, beauty and unique expression.
This space cherishes the sacredness of beauty, community, and celebration. Deep feminine values naturally rooted and infused in Middle Eastern cultures.
The Black Tent is a space for ancient Arabian rituals, creativity and magic. The journey and practices are rooted in nature and the natural rhythms of the Arabian land. With the support of indigenous plants, trees and the elements we reawaken our somatic memory and restore our sense of belonging.

The Black Tent name
Merges the concept of the Red Tent, women's ancient practice, and the Black Tent being a symbol of Arabs and Bedouins (desert dwellers) for centuries. The black Tent originated in Mesopotamia, and as it spread, it was adapted to fit each particular environment it entered in the Arabian peninsula, levant and North Africa.
